A golf cart geofencing system uses GPS to create invisible boundaries around areas of a golf course, such as greens, tee boxes, hazards, and property lines. Most systems only track carts or send alerts when a boundary is crossed. CourseGuard goes further: it physically shuts off the cart's engine at the boundary, so the cart cannot enter the protected area at all.

GPS accuracy is approximately 2.5 meters. The system checks position every second. For most greens and tee boxes, this is more than precise enough to prevent damage.
CourseGuard uses a satellite GPS receiver mounted on the cart. There are no buried wires, no beacons to install around the course, and no cellular connection required. The cart always knows where it is, even in areas with no cell coverage.
Every zone includes a built-in safety buffer, and the system requires a quality satellite fix before it will enforce any boundary. If the fix weakens, CourseGuard errs on the side of keeping the cart running. No false shutdowns in the middle of the fairway, and no stranded golfers.

No. CourseGuard wires to the key switch, so it only draws power while the cart is switched on. When the cart is parked, the draw is zero. Carts can sit all off-season without a dead battery, something always-on GPS trackers can't promise.
Yes. CourseGuard is fully transferable. Move it between carts, or take it with you to an entirely new fleet. The zones are stored on the device itself.
